Family Orientation
Family Orientation is tailored to the needs of parents and guardians, focusing on topics that are of special relevance to you in your role as a student supporter. This event provides you with a comprehensive introduction to the campus resources and services that are in place to ensure your student's success as a UNA Lion. Students can register their family members for Family Orientation during the online registration for Student Orientation (SOAR).

What to Know Before You Go

FERPA Release
FERPA is a rights and privacy act that protects your student’s personally identifiable information. In order for parents or family members to have access to this information, your student must add you to their FERPA release. Students may complete a FERPA release by logging into their UNA portal (www.una.edu). Review our to learn how to complete the FERPA release.

Make sure your student completes all the steps in the Student Checklist prior to attending their orientation session.
