In-State Tuition

Out of state residents receiving an institutional scholarship may qualify for the in-state tuition rate if they meet the following criteria:

  • Student is a full-time undergraduate student enrolled at UNA.
  • Student is receiving an institutional scholarship award of $250 for US citizens in recognition of a particular talent or ability, provided such student possessed the talent or ability at the time of initial enrollment.
  • Student maintains continuous scholarship eligibility at UNA.
  • Scholarship funds provided by external organizations do not qualify the student for the resident tuition rate.
  • Graduate students receiving an assistantship are granted in-state tuition.

Non-Resident Tuition Policy

Currently enrolled students who are applying for residency need to submit the Certification of Residency form and supporting documentation to the Registrar’s Office 601 Cramer Way, Room 119, or mailed to UNA Box 5044, Florence AL 35632-0001.  New freshman and transfer students or former students who have submitted a new application for admission to UNA and are applying for residency need to submit the Certification of Residency form and supporting documentation to Ms. Courtney Shields in the Office of Admissions in Coby Hall or mailed to UNA Box 5011, Florence AL 35632-0001.  Deadlines are strictly enforced.

The following Mississippi and Tennessee counties fall within a 50-mile radius of UNA properties and are therefore considered as in-state residents:
