Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science

The Pre-Professional Studies concentration is designed for students interested in pursuing advanced studies in Physical/Occupational Therapy, Medical School, and further education upon completion of the student's undergraduate degree plan. The curriculum includes most prerequisite courses necessary for applying to advanced programs, such as those listed above. In addition to a challenging curriculum, students will complete a 200 hour internship during their senior year to apply practice to the skills learned throughout their coursework. With advanced credentials, students are prepared for professional opportunities, such as Physical/Occupational Therapy, Medical School, Teacher/Professor, among others.

Skills & Knowledge

Students will complete a rigorous series of in-depth applied science courses, with many focusing on working directly with clients with respect to health-related components of fitness. In addition, students complete multiple basic science courses, including Principles of Biology (I and II), Human Anatomy and Physiology (I and II), Chemistry (I and II), and Physics (I and II).
